Life lives forever
Made by everyone who loves them

Your stories. Always with you.

Everyone who loves them records a short video from one link. Our editors turn it into a film — and then they get to reply.

What we do

Four things we take care of, so your family does almost nothing.

You share one link. Everything after that is ours.

  • One link goes to the whole family, and the clips come back to one place.

    • One private link, shared however you like
    • No app and no account for anyone recording
    • Three questions, and you choose them
    • A reminder before the link closes

How it works

Four steps, and only the first one is yours.

After you share the link, there is nothing left for you to do but wait for it to fill.

  1. 01

    Set it up

    Your part

Tell us who it is for and what to ask. You get one link to share. About five minutes, and no account needed.

  2. 02

    Everyone records

The one link goes to the whole family. They open it on their own phone and record — no app, no account, nothing to download. Every clip stays private.

  3. 03

    Our editors make the film

Real people cut the messages into a film worth sitting down for. No templates, no drag-and-drop, nothing for you to learn.

  4. 04

They reply, and everyone keeps it

The part nobody else does. They watch it, then record an answer back, and we cut that into a second film. Both go to every person who took part.

Our story

The messages people most want to say are the ones they never get round to.

Families already have the words. What they don’t have is an easy way to gather them — before a birthday, before a move, before it is too late. Asking twenty relatives to film something and send it over usually ends in a folder of clips nobody ever watches.

So we made the smallest possible version of it. One link, three short questions, and no app or account for the people recording — because the people whose messages matter most are often the least comfortable with any of this.

“The film is only half of it. The half nobody expects is watching them answer back.”

Kind words

The part nobody expects is the reply.

Three sides of the same tribute: the one who set it up, the one who recorded from the link, and the one it was all for.

  • Example

    Portrait of Rosa M.
“I sent one link to the family group chat and went to bed. By Sunday there were fourteen videos in it, including my uncle who has never once replied to anything.”
    Rosa M. · Organiser, her mum's 80th
  • Example

    Portrait of Peter H.
“I am seventy-eight and I did it on my own phone, standing in the kitchen, first go. Nothing to download, nothing to sign into, nobody to ask for help.”
Peter H. · Recorded a wish, from Brisbane
  • Example

    Portrait of Marguerite L.
“I thought the film was the end of it. Then it asked me a question back, and I sat there answering my own grandchildren — that is the bit I have watched again.”
Marguerite L. · The tribute was for her

Come and say hello

We share what we learn about gathering family stories, and the occasional film a family has let us show. Nothing we post ever includes a tribute without the family asking us to.
